This was a long day. We got aboard our British Airways flight to London Heathrow in the middle of the afternoon. There were screens at every seat for movies. In London we met up with Timothy. We got delayed two hours in London, and left for Milan about 4:00 p.m. While we didn't sleep a lot on the longer flight, we were all pretty tired on the flight to Milan. Once there, we had a baggage delay but got on our way about 8:00 p.m. after meeting our courier Claudia and Danilo, our driver. We stopped along the highway for dinner and learned all about Friday evening Milan traffic. It was a long bus ride; we got to the hotel at 2:30 a.m. Most had slept much of the last few traveling legs, but were still plenty tired when we got to the hotel.

The sun sets over Minnesota...and sets...and sets. It took the sun about two hours to set, and it was only dark for about an hour before the sun started to rise again. |
